Wedding 2017 songs

Last Updated on: 10 March 2025

What has just passed has been a truly unforgettable year. Many were the wedding parties that have seen us at the console, all special and different from each other; among the many, we remember, from our “virtual diary”, the one at Cantalupa (located in Brusaporto, near Bergamo) and the wedding at Corte del lago (in Limonta, near Bellagio, one of the most beautiful places in Italy). Before taking care of the music that characterized this 2017, we would like to thank all those who have supported us: spouses, locations, wedding planners and the collaborators of our ProfessionalWeddingDJ team. Let’s start the journey by remembering the artists who have disappeared over the last 12 months: the Americans Tom Petty, Chris Cornell, Joni Sledge of the disco band Sister Sledge and Al Jarreau (author of After All, a true hymn to the love between men and women).
The 2017, in any case, has been full of really interesting new hits, some of which will probably become classics. In particular, let’s take care of music for marriage, with the songs that more than others have characterized our parties (with special attention for the international wedding parties, which increasingly represent an important quote of our business).

Romantic songs for the first dance and for cutting the cake

Creating the perfect romantic atmosphere for the first dance and cake cutting is essential. In 2017, couples found inspiration in a range of beautiful songs. Celine Dion’s enchanting ‘How Does a Moment Last Forever’ transported brides to a fairytale, while Harry Styles’ tender ‘Sweet Creature’ offered a heartfelt declaration of love. No wedding playlist would be complete without Ed Sheeran, whose timeless ‘Thinking Out Loud’ continued to resonate. His 2017 releases, ‘Castle On The Hill’ and especially ‘Perfect,’ became instant hits, providing the perfect soundtrack for those intimate moments. However, for a burst of energy, ‘Shape of You’ was the go-to choice.

Among the Italian songs, made an impression Il Conforto by Tiziano Ferro and Carmen Consoli and, in this final year, Poetica by Cesare Cremonini and Fino all’imbrunire by Negramaro, which we will carry on also in 2018.

Songs for the entry of the couple and for dancing

When it comes to the soundtrack for those unforgettable wedding moments—the bridal entrance and the celebratory dances—the last 12 months have been incredibly rich. Bruno Mars continues to be a wedding staple, with ‘That’s What I Like’ proving as popular as his classic ‘Marry You.’ Its universal appeal makes it perfect for both the grand entrance of the newlyweds and getting the dance floor started. ‘Something Just Like This’ by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay also emerged as a favorite for the bridal procession, its engaging rhythm and heartfelt lyrics resonating deeply. Finally, Parov Stelar’s ‘All Night,’ a vibrant electro-swing track, consistently generated enthusiastic responses from guests, ensuring a lively atmosphere.

Bob Sinclar and Martin Solveig still “rocks your wedding”

About house and dance music (generally more suitable for evening weddings with young people audience), the scene was dominated by the Swedish producers Axwell and Ingrosso (More Than You Know) and Avicii (Without You), and also the French artists have confirmed their “magic touch”, with a new proposal (Ofenbach with Katchi and Be Mine, really a great success), and the two “old glories” Bob Sinclar (with Til The Sun Rise Up) and Martin Solveig (All stars). We also mention, in this year’s end, the Purple disco machine, with the song “Devil In Me”, a classy funky song with a refined style, that we like to propose (and we will do in 2018) on wedding parties. We at ProfessionalWeddingDJ, in addition to the new succes, are used to provide a quality musical revival, to entertain with style spouses and guests! Always considering that every party is different from the other!
