Music for the wedding: a little ‘Funky? Why not!

Hello everyone from your DJs for wedding, today we are talking about music (not only typical wedding music …) and in particular about funk, rhythmic and full of groove.

We are driven by the success of two very interesting songs of this period, which refer precisely to this kind of music. These are two songs with a “pull”, and engaging, often we have used for the entrance of the spouses (in particular “My Type” … the effect is guaranteed!)

Uptown Funk –  Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars

My Type – Saint Motel

We would like to go a bit in the past and remember the early funky: who can forget James Brown, the creator of the funky, with I Got You, 1966 and 1970 Sex Machine:

Interesting, then, the contamination in the seventies and eighties of the funk and disco music: we have many examples of groups that have been very successful, as the Jackson Five, the Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang and the Brand New Heavies.

Here’s a piece of Kool and the Gang: Celebration

And then, to finish our short trip in the funky (and around …) we mention Jamiroquai and Incognito that have pointed towards pop music, especially with some pieces, but always keeping a high level of quality. Waiting for their return with a new album!
